There is no good flock without a good Shepard, and there is no good Shepard without a good dog.
-Scottish Homily
We are passionate about the importance of characteristics so present in dogs:
Loyalty, Tenacity, Agility, and Ingenuity.
And we have come to believe these same compelling qualities symbolized by our Blue Dog icon are also essential to long-term business success, because they help us to create and strengthen valuable business relationships.
Its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog.
-Mark Twain
We believe very strongly that we have much to learn from our companion animals and animals in general. And we know we are not alone. According to the Humane Society of the United States, 62 percent of American households include pets.
We at Blue Dog Brand Works show our deep respect and admiration for these principles by weaving them into our business ethic, and by supporting our local shelters and the following Animal Welfare Groups. These organizations work tirelessly to improve the lives of companion animals in greatest need. And they need all of our help.
We are asking you to join them, by making contributions as humble as cleaning supplies, animal bedding, toys and treats, so that they can go about the important business of caring for companion animals. And beyond their obvious need for donations, they need your time as well. Spending time with the animals - walking, fostering and simply sitting with the animals can provide the most valuable contribution of all: providing vital socialization, and in turn, creating their greatest hope for adoption.

Please reach out to the organizations below to best match your capacity to give with their needs.

Dog of the Month
Foley is a 3 year old Shepard Mix, is housetrained, and knows the commands sit, down, speak, give paw, and fetch.
Contact the Coastal Humane Society of Brunswick Maine at the link above for more information.
The faintest flicker of command sent the dog bounding to the job at hand.
